common exceeded our expectations during this group visit. beds, staff, breakfast, and cleanliness were all exceptional. even though our previous stay in chiang mai was great, common provided an even better experience. we were impressed with the modern decor and the helpfulness of the staff.
Noisy guests.

I had a great stay in Chiang Mai! The location was perfect, close to everything from hotels to hostels to airbnb's. I was able to easily explore the city and even found a great cafe nearby. The room was comfortable and the bathrooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. The breakfast provided was tasty and satisfying. I had a wonderful experience at this hostel.
The noise level, as the doors were not well-closing/opening, causing disruptions when people came in or out of the room.

The social areas were very nice and had plenty of outdoor seating. It was great to have a full kitchen available for all guests to use and self-cater. The location was also key, being in the heart of the city and close to all the main attractions.
The dorm and sleeping areas could be improved. There was not enough storage space in the lockers for even one backpack, and the available space in the room could have been converted into a storage area.

The location of the hostel was convenient, as it was close to nearby temples and situated in the old city center. The room I stayed in had clean and comfortable beds, and the AC was adjustable to my liking. The staff provided excellent service, offering free bottled water and answering questions about the local area in perfect English. the hostel had a friendly atmosphere, making it easy to make friends during my stay.
The lack of an elevator was inconvenient, especially when I had to carry my heavy luggage up to the fifth floor.

I recently stayed at a hostel in Chiang Mai and had an amazing experience. The staff at Common was incredibly friendly and helpful, giving us great advice on where to eat and what to do. They even helped us find a cheap cab to take us to the mountain. The hostel itself was super clean, with the only small issue being that the washing machine took a while to dry. I highly recommend staying at Common for its great location, energetic staff, and fantastic facilities. Oh, and the breakfast was delicious too!
Nothing, it was perfect! ☺️

Staff were very friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The hostel provided free water, tea, and coffee throughout the day, which was much appreciated. The location was great, situated in the heart of the city and close to popular attractions.
The cleanliness of the showers and toilets left something to be desired, as they seemed to be rarely cleaned. some of the dorm rooms lacked sufficient space for storage and comfort, making it difficult for two people to stay comfortably.

The breakfast was delicious and they had a great coffee machine with real milk! They also provided free water all day, which was a nice touch. The location was really convenient, close to many attractions and easily walkable. Plus, there was a fantastic vegan restaurant and a massage place right next door - perfect for relaxation after a long day of exploring.
There were a few ants on my bed on the first night and although they were gone afterwards, it was still unsettling. the chairs in the common area could have used some cushions for added comfort.

Fantastic staff, helped me with early check-in, provided towels and showed me the showers. Organized a cooking class and offered free classes. Great location for exploring on foot. Chic hostel vibe with thoughtful amenities like free water, tea/coffee, and fruit.
Felt safe and secure, no reason to complain.

Comfy beds and delicious breakfast. The beds were really comfortable and it was great to have the option of a double bed when traveling with a partner. The included breakfast was delicious and there was even water available in the lobby, which was convenient. the nearby vegan restaurant was amazing, offering great dining options.
Lack of soundproofing and no elevator. The walls and doors were not soundproof, so it was a bit noisy hearing people walking outside.

The hostel staff were friendly and always willing to help. They made sure to address each guest by name and created a welcoming atmosphere. The complimentary breakfast and bottled water were a nice touch, especially for backpackers on the go. the hostel had a chill vibe and it was easy to meet and connect with other travelers.
The private rooms for couples were small and not what was shown in the pictures. The bathroom was cramped and poorly designed, with a curtain separating the toilet and shower.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel. Great value for money with clean and cozy rooms. The location was ideal, within walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff were friendly and treated me like family.
The breakfast selection could be improved, maybe adding some more variety to cater to different tastes.

We had a fantastic stay at the hostel. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make our trip memorable. The beds were comfortable and the dorms had AC that could be adjusted as needed. The showers were clean and had strong water pressure. The breakfast offered a variety of vegetarian options. The hostel had a great vibe with plenty of spaces to relax and socialize. we highly recommend this hostel for its exceptional service and amenities.

Beds were comfortable and cozy, perfect for a good night's sleep. The common areas were great for socializing and meeting new people. The air conditioning in the rooms provided a welcome relief from the hot weather.
The breakfast options were limited and not very appealing. It would have been nice to have a wider selection and better quality.

I loved the clean rooms, friendly staff, and great location in the old town. Free water and coffee all day long was a nice bonus. The vegan restaurant nearby was a pleasant surprise.
There was nothing I didn't like.
